Starting therapy is a big step toward growth, and I want the process to feel as comfortable and clear as possible. Below are answers to some common questions to help you know what to expect.

Our first session is an opportunity for you to share what brought you to counseling and what you hope to achieve. We will talk about your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. We will also review the policy and procedure documents Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that fits your needs and helps guide our work moving forward.

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, which focuses on understanding how our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact. This approach helps clients develop practical tools to manage stress, improve coping skills, and build healthier thinking patterns. Sessions are tailored to your goals, pace, and comfort level.

Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes in length. Weekly or biweekly sessions are common, depending on your needs and schedule.

Online sessions only for Louisiana and Texas residents.

The fee for services is $100.00 for the initial assessment session and $90.00 per regular session. Payment will be paid directly to Adaptive Mind Counseling, LLC. Clients who are using insurance to pay for sessions are required to pay any applicable copay before the start of each session. Payment will be collected at the beginning of each session via PayPal. A payment link (button) will be sent in the portal via message to you to collect payment.
